The Hoya X1 green filter is used primarily for black and white photography. With the X1, green foliage is rendered in much lighter gray tones. The X1 can also be used for indoor portraits under tungsten lighting.
For Color Photography: While this filter was designed for black & white photography, it can be used with color film to produce specific color effects.
